Ally’s on the Lake

The Anna Cabana

A soothing, fun atmosphere greet you as soon as you step foot on the outdoor deck seating at The Anna Cabana. Breathaking panoramic views of Lake Anna make this hidden jewel a must-see for anyone coming to the lake. The restaurant provides twenty boat slips and plenty of room for jet skis allow you to arrive by water and sit inside under a shaded canopy or inside with a cozy, nautical themed dining room. Many L.A. residents rave about The Anna Cabana’s signature crab cakes with good reason. Make sure you give them a try.

If you’re in the mood for find Chinese and Japanese hibachi with a spectacular view of Lake Anna, this is the place for you. The Asian Café features a fresh sushi bar and seems to have gotten many locals hooked on their unique Far East flavor.
The Barn at Lake Anna

This country store re-opened this year and they brought the BBQ back with them! Homemade cole slaw, potato salad, cookies, brownies & cakes are just some of the offerings available at this quant store, just a little off the beaten path in Bumpass. The Barn is home of the famous Manny’s Moon Launcher Sub and Virginia’s Finest Pizza. If you’re in the mood for lighter fare, there are also a variety of homemade soups available. And to ensure freshness, all the bread is baked daily.
The Big Cheese Pizza
11004 Kentucky Springs Road, Mineral
In a rush? The Big Cheese may be the answer. Large Cheese & Pepperoni pizzas are fresh & ready all day for only $5.99 each. However, just because the pies are available fast, doesn’t mean there are any shortcuts. The dough is made from scratch daily at the store & all of the cheese is freshly ground on site. The pizza sauce is mixed every day using their special blend of spices and highest quality tomatoes available. Other toppings are available on made-to-order pizzas for an additional charge, but you can call in your order beforehand. Complete your meal with breadsticks, cinnamon sticks, chicken wings, and a variety of sodas & beverages.
Chef Lee Chinese Restaurant

We’ve always heard great reviews of Chef Lee’s Gordonsville Chinese Restaurant and this spring, a Lake Anna location has been impressing our area, as well. The new dining room in the New Bridge Landing shopping center is welcoming and the menu is full of tasty traditional Chinese dishes.
Chelsea Jo’s Restaurant
5152 Courthouse Road
Chelsea Jo’s has been a local favorite for years and this year will showcase brand new renovations. The restaurant now holds two different bars and completely new dining room. Chelsea’s has a full lunch and dinner menu, with nightly dine-in specials. Carryout is also available. Most Saturdays, you’ll find a local band performing inside for an added treat. Enjoy a hometown atmosphere with delicious entrees and appetizers.

Sure, Island Mochas offers many varieties of ice cream, milkshakes, smoothies, coffees, espressos, and other tasty treats. However, you have to try some of their freshly made sandwiches, salads, cakes, muffins, soups, chili and other items. The shop serves breakfast and lunch and have created an entire menu to make sure there’s something for everyone.
6320 Belmont Road, Mineral
Lakeview Restaurant offers a beautiful view of the north end of Lake Anna. The restaurant is attached to Hunter’s Landing Marina & Convenience Store, which makes it easy to pull up by boat and enjoy your meal. You can relax in a more casual atmosphere at the No Wake Zone downstairs which offers a full bar with lighter fare served, as well. The main dining room serves traditional American cuisine, with something for everyone. You can dine in the main dining room or out on the deck overlooking Lake Anna under a shady umbrella. Enjoy music, sip a drink, and watch boats go by. Does it get any better?
42 Davis Highway, Mineral
This traditional diner in the town of Mineral is open early every morning, starting at 5:30 am with a full breakfast menu. Mineral Restaurant offers a full salad bar. Pizzas are made fresh to order and are in the running for the best in the area. The subs are also always fresh and the entire menu is extremely reasonably priced.
109 West Main Street, Louisa
Mediterranean Cuisine has never been closer, now served in the heart of Louisa. Live music can be enjoyed each Friday night in the beautifully appointed dining room. Obrigado offers a selection of wines from Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Argentina and Chile as well as several Virginia wines. Lunch and dinner served Tuesday through Sunday and from 10:30am to 2:00 pm on Sunday, brunch is served. The homemade desserts are absolutely divine.

The first national restaurant chain has arrived at the lake with Subway #48554 opening in spring 2011. You can dine in or carryout a huge variety of subs, sandwiches, and personal sized pizzas. Subway also offers fresh salads with many different options. There are also healthy meal options that are kid friendly on the Fresh for Kids’ menu. Add a bag of chips and a beverage for a full meal or a fresh baked cookie for dessert.
Solid Grounds Coffee House & Café
121 West Main Street, Louisa
New Location: Spotsylvania Courthouse Village
A relaxing, warm environment to enjoy a meal, a dessert, or your favorite Espresso treat. The original Solid Grounds Coffe House on Main Street in Louisa is now joined by a second location in Spotsylvania Courthouse Village, so no matter what direction you travel to and from, you’ll be able to stop in for breakfast or lunch any day of the week. Tavern on the Rail
121 West Main Street, Louisa
Fine dining at reasonable prices in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. The main dining room is located upstairs and is finely decorated with local antiques, collectibles, and other interesting items throughout. The Tavern serves up weekly seafood specials and premium steaks and other entrées with delicious homemade sauces that give their dishes a unique flavor. Come by for lunch or dinner Thursday through Saturday. Reservations are not required, but strongly suggested.
